According to Shanghai Statistics Bureau on Apr 25th 2013,
Shanghai’s GDP grew 7.8% YoY to reach RMB493.75 billion in
1Q 2013.

Shanghai’s CPI reached 2.3 % in the 1Q 2013 of which 1.3% is
due to the carryover effects and 1% is due to increase of price
during this quarter.
FDI
By 1Q 2013, Shanghai had 874 FDI contracts with total
investment of up to US$5.44 billion. Compared with same period
of 2012, secondary industry increased by 130% YoY while
tertiary industry increased 66.8% YoY.

In 1Q 2013, new supply for business park space came mainly
from three areas: Hongqiao Private Economy City in Linkong
Economic Area, Caohejing F plot phase 5 in Pujiang Caohejing

Due to construction delay and policy challenges, most projects
that were supposed to be completed during 2013 were
postponed to 2014 or later. As such, significant new supply can
be expected in 2014 as compared to 2013. A large proportion
of the upcoming supply is located in Linkong which is a rather
distinct area in terms of industry cluster and market performance.
