Half and full-year results briefings for the media and analysts are
helmed by the Chief Executive Officer as well as Head, Capital
Markets & Transactions. A presentation on A-REIT’s financial,
operational metrics as well as business outlook is provided to
allow participants to keep abreast of A-REIT’s latest developments.
These briefings are also attended by senior management of the
Manager to interact with the participants and to clarify any queries
from the media and analysts.
A-REIT is well-covered by more than 20 research houses
in Singapore. The Manager maintains an open line of
communication. In addition to conventional channels of
communications, such as investors’ meetings and briefings
(including non-deal roadshows), teleconference, publications,
annual reports and A-REIT’s website, the Manager constantly
seek out new and more efficient channels to better reach out and
engage with stakeholders.
Since 2010, the Manager has adopted the use of electronic
voting by poll for all resolutions put forth at its Annual General
Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings. This has resulted
in time savings and enhanced accuracy in polling. In addition, all
unitholders are given opportunities to raise questions and seek
clarifications with the Board of Directors and senior management
of the Manager during such meetings. Detailed results of such
General Meetings are made available on the SGX-ST portal on
the same day.
The commitment and effort in maintaining informative channels
of communication and adhering to the highest standards of
timely disclosure & transparency has gain recognition and
accolades for A-REIT.

A-REIT’s Annual Report FY11/12 won the Silver award in the
REITs & Business Trusts (Best Annual Report) category at the

Corporate Awards seek to recognise and honour SGX-listed
companies as well as individuals who, through their corporate
practices, have helped to raise Singapore’s corporate disclosure
standards and corporate governance, showcase SGX-listed
companies and key decision makers who effectively implement
and promote corporate disclosure standards and corporate
governance in their companies as well as create a prestigious
corporate event for listed companies’ chief executive officers,
chief financial officers, directors and substantial shareholders to
network, socialise and share ideas and views on good corporate
governance.
At the SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards 2012, A-REIT won the
“Most Transparent Company Award” in the REIT category.
A-REIT has been commended for its transparency in eight of the
nine years since the Most Transparent Company Award for the
REITs category was introduced in 2004, four years as the winner,
and another four as the runner up. For the first time in the history
of the awards, SIAS also gave out the Brendan Wood/SIAS
TopGun CEO Award to CEOs who are rated best-in-class by
shareholders on the Brendan Wood Panel. Mr Tan Ser Ping, the
Chief Executive Officer of the Manager, is one of the winners of
the inaugural award. The award is given to less than 10% of the
world’s major corporate leaders and is a strong recognition of
Mr Tan’s leadership as well as the management team that he leads.
A-REIT was once again recognised at the AsiaMoney Corporate
Governance Poll 2012 where it garnered five awards, including:

The poll was conducted via interviews with CEOs, CIOs, senior
management and experts in the financial industry, as well as heads
of research and senior analysts in brokerages across the region.
A-REIT was also named as one of the “Top 100 Singapore
Brands” by Brand Finance, the world’s leading independent
intangible asset and brand valuation consultancy firm.
