i. The change in the direct interest was due to the issuance of new units on 12 February 2009 pursuant to the preferential offering.

ii. ALS's deemed interest previously announced was in respect of the units held by Ascendas Funds Management (S) Limited ("AFM") in A-REIT. However, based on Section 7 of the Companies Act, ALS would not be deemed interested in the units of AFM as AFM is not a direct subsidiary of ALS and ALS is not entitled to exercise control over AFM.

iii. Pursuant to the issuance of new units on 20 August 2009 in connection with the private placement of 185,000,000 new units. The total number of units in A-REIT in issue has increased from 1,684,920,057 to 1,869,920,057.
